It’s March 2023 and it’s snowing?! With the weather going back to the winter months, we’ve been thinking about Henna + Dan’s wedding last year, December. Call it reminiscing or romanticising winter but with our woolly socks back on and hot chocolate heating up, we just can’t help but enjoy Henna + Dan’s very Christmassy wedding celebration in London.
Henna + Dan had their summer wedding last August but wanted to celebrate their union with more friends and family in December at the heart of London. And my word, they did it so well…
Held at The Dilly London, a luxury hotel located at the heart of Piccadilly, this winter celebration was everything we hoped for and more. With The Dilly’s awe-inspiring Christmas tree, and shiny, shimmering baubles hanging above us, The Dilly London’s interior looked like Dickens dipped in Cartier.
The ceremony started soon after bridal prep where the couple came together reading their heartfelt vows to one another. Friends and family shed a tear and soon celebrated the couple’s kiss with lots of cheers and applause which soon moved to The Dilly’s Terrace with drinks and canapes.
Relaxed couple portraits in London
During reception, we took Henna + Dan outside the Dilly to get some fresh air and enjoy some couple-time. It was a perfect moment to take some relaxed couple portraits.
The lights were glittering, iconic landmarks were sparkling, and the streets were pictures out of a Dickens’ novel, and of course, Henna + Dan were glowing.
One of the things we love about winter weddings in London is that we can’t help but embrace the atmosphere. There’ll be people everywhere getting excited, getting distracted, getting into the festive spirit. How can we not have that in our photos?
The night just begun…
One of our favourite parts of any wedding is the dancing. That’s when everyone loosens up, breaking loose on the dancefloor. Henna + Dan started the night off with some great moves pulling the guests in to do some murder on the dancefloor.
With lots of noughties’ classics and some K-pop thrown in, it was easy for the both of us to get right in there on the dancefloor and dancing with the crowd and capturing each movement – the best and the worst! And guess what? We loved both!
This Dilly London winter wedding celebration really got us into the Christmas spirit. It was so fun to capture and we can’t wait for next winter.
