It was our first time photographing in Marlow, Buckinghamshire but I don’t think it’ll be the last. Adorned with history, Marlow was a place full of curiosity that wetted our appetite in more ways than one.
Visually, it was a feast for the eyes enhanced by the steady sound of bustling from locals. Lots of window shopping and al-frescoing at their favourite bakery around us. We were right at home.
It may have been April, but there were no April showers. What can we say? April played its own tricks on us and had us believe it was summer already. Marlow was covered in gold which made it the perfect setting for Davina and Richard’s wedding at Macdonald Compleat Angler.
Macdonald Compleat Angler, a luxury riverside hotel in Marlow
Located on the willow-fringed banks of the River Thames, the Macdonald Compleat Angler made a beautiful setting for Davina and Richard. The staff were friendly welcoming, escorting the wedding guests to the decorative ceremony room.
A wander down the Marlow bridge for couple time
Couple time immediately after the wedding confetti and group shots is always a must in our eyes. It’s a chance for the newly-wedded couple to enjoy their first few moments as a married couple away from all the guests. For Davina and Richard, it was walking down the Marlow Bridge in the sunshine where they spent time chatting away and processing all that just happened!
Guests mingling and breaking glass for heritage
Champagne flowing and sodas fizzing, guests enjoyed mingling and eating the delicious canapés served by the venue which was followed by a speech from Richard.
A hilarious speech from Richard was soon followed by Richard breaking a glass – a nod to Davina’s Jewish heritage.
