5 reasons to book 2 wedding photographers for your wedding day
As 2 wedding photographers, we aim to capture your day in great detail so you can enjoy and cherish both the smallest and biggest moments from your day for years to come. As 2 documentary wedding photographers, we capture many, many moments of human interactions, cultural customs and traditions, and yes, emotions – tears and laughter – from different angles creating honest, natural, unscripted, candid photos for you to treasure forever.
What makes us different?
2 of a kind means different but the same. We are 2 different people capturing moments throughout the day from different angles and perspectives but all in the same style. For us, it’s all about capturing the real essence of your wedding day, piecing together each photo from your wedding to tell your beautiful unique story from start to finish. We aim to capture every emotion expressed from your day, creating honest, intimate and colourful photos. As 2 of a kind, we capture 2 different people coming together for 1 beautiful day, celebrating love and union of different colours and cultures.
As 2 of a kind, we’ll be with you from day 1. That means we’ll both be there every step of the way. From our pre-consultation meeting with you to the wedding day itself, and all the way through editing your awesome photos lovingly to sharing the final gallery with you.
So, why book 2 wedding photographers?
Now, there isn’t anything wrong with having 1 photographer for your big day. All weddings are different and we know (believe me!) that there are absolutely amazing photographers out there capturing weddings themselves as a 1 photographer package. I mean, we do offer 1 photographer package too, and we capture beautiful weddings.
But… having 2 wedding photographers does have its advantages. Take a look below!
1. We capture both sides of your story
Your wedding day is a story of 2 people in love coming together and getting married.
As 2 of a kind, we celebrate ‘same but different’ in all our couples. We dedicate our time to capturing 2 separate stories of your wedding, the experience, the personalities of each of you leading up to the final moment when you see each other for the first time at your wedding.
As 2 photographers, we use time synced cameras. So, when you look back through your wedding photos, you’ll see your two stories picture by picture coming together, culminating with you getting married.
2. Capturing the smallest moments so you don’t miss out
A lot happens at a wedding. There are so many moments that take place in one place simultaneously. As 2 of a kind, we don’t stick to each other instead we move in different spaces capturing many, many unique human interactions. When one of us is capturing moments between you and your half, the other is capturing your family and friend’s reaction. Having 2 photographers ensures more moments are captured and often things you only realise when you look back through your photos so yes, you will see few surprises in your gallery – how exciting!
3. More photos means more memories to treasure
You’ve spent months planning your day so it only makes sense that you want the smallest to the biggest details captured. Having 2 photographers moving around capturing different moments means you’ll have more photos to cherish too.
4. We’re 2 places at once – magic!
Taking couple portraits is a great way for you guys to just relax and catch breath after having said your vows in front of your guests. It’s also a chance for you both to enjoy the first few moments as a newly married couple alone. While one of us is taking your couple portraits, the other will be with the guest, capturing those natural, candid shots of people celebrating you and the day itself.
5. Added assurances so you don’t have to worry – so don’t worry, be happy!
All weddings have important moments, moments deemed as critical. Whether it’s your first kiss, or stomping on a glass wrapped in cloth before everyone declares “mazal tov!”, not only do we capture these moments from different angles, having 2 photographers means added assurances too. Weddings happen in real time so it just takes one guest or registrar to move slightly at the wrong time for a photographer to miss a shot. Having 2 photographers means that at least one of us is able to capture an important moment.
